Chiller Technician

As a Facilities Operations Technician at SpaceXAI, you'll operate and maintain critical facility systems powering supercomputing data centers. You'll work hands-on with MEP systems, tackling maintenance, operations, and repairs to ensure peak performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance for MEP infrastructure.
• Provide operational expertise for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at the data center facility, including pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, and generators.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain performance measures and proactively identify problems.
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.
• Perform daily inspections of critical systems.
• Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
• Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics.
• Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup and assisting with functional testing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 2+ years of hands-on operations/facilities work experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems.
• Experience with critical systems documentation, including Plans, Procedures, and Operations Manuals.
• Experience with Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems and Operations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills in English.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools as needed.
• Work in tight quarters with physical dexterity.
• Lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
• Work at elevated heights (up to 100 feet) with safety gear.
• Work in extreme outdoor environments.
• Work in environments with fumes, odors, and noise.
• Flexible shifts for 24x7 coverage.
• Pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing.
• Pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
