Ruveon is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer I - Formulation and Packaging to join their team in Muscatine, Iowa. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring the consistent performance and reliability of systems and equipment within the organization.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer role involves analyzing data to identify potential failures, implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and developing improvement plans to enhance operational uptime. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish metrics, conduct root cause analysis, and integrate best practices that promote long-term reliability and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding and contributing to the upkeep of Bayer electrical norms, practices, standards, guidelines, and procedures
- Supporting improvement projects, including evaluating alternatives and performing cost-benefit analyses
- Specifying instruments, control devices, motors, and other electrical components for plant applications
- Reviewing and evaluating vendor information for instrumentation and electrical components
- Preparing maintenance plans to restore equipment to operating condition in a minimum amount of time
- Assisting other area engineers and technicians regarding instrumentation and electrical performance
- Creating and modifying documentation related to process operation, safety, and applicable environmental regulations
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- 0-2 years of engineering experience, preferably in an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems and their application in process operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with electrical drawings and P&ID/engineering flow diagrams in an industrial setting
- Exposure to reliability-centered maintenance concepts, production systems, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with specifying and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation and control devices in chemical or related process industries
- Familiarity with PLC and control systems
