Description
Join Electronic Arts as an Associate Technical Artist in the EA SPORTS FC studio. As part of the Technical Art Team, you will help push visual boundaries and experiences for players. The team invests in future technologies, shared tooling, and production workflows, combining creativity and imagination with technical expertise.
The Associate Technical Artist is a bridge between artists and engineers, working closely with artists, project managers, SEs, and the Technical Art team. Main areas of responsibility include art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and shader development. You will be expected to assume ownership of technical issues and bring them to resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain art production workflows, tools, and pipelines
- Optimize and integrate assets
- Create shaders and materials
- Collaborate with artists, engineers, and project managers
- Troubleshoot technical issues
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of cinematic/games production experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (desired)
- Effective communication skills
- Experience scripting/programming in Python and C#
- Knowledge of 3D art packages (Maya) and other DCC tools
- Problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Passion for games

Note: This team works onsite at EA Vancouver (Burnaby office). Applicants are required to work onsite 3 days, Tuesday - Thursday every week.
