Description

Join HSBC's Asset & Wealth Management team as an Assistant Vice President in Sales and Distribution, based in Thane, Maharashtra, India.

You will be responsible for driving mutual fund sales through distributor networks and client relationships, while ensuring compliance and delivering market insights to advisors and investors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with banks, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), and national distributors
  • Expand the IFA network and deepen penetration in the assigned region
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and assets under management (AUM) growth
  • Present fund strategies, market views, and portfolio solutions to IFAs, relationship managers, and institutional clients
  • Conduct internal and external training sessions, product workshops, and webinars for internal teams and advisors
  • Gather feedback from the field, share competitor and flow trends, and work with product teams to refine positioning and campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with SEBI, AMFI, KYC, and AML guidelines, and maintain accurate records and reporting

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in mutual fund distribution, wealth sales, or private banking
  • NISM VA certification is mandatory
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Strong relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with sales pipelines, Excel, CRM reporting, and basic portfolio analytics
