Senior Sourcing Engineer

As a Senior Sourcing Engineer, you will drive the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril's product hardware, across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including stakeholders in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-off/trade tables, total cost of ownership modeling, and joint design development.
• Drive commercial development and execution of sourcing strategy via full market knowledge, supplier rationalization, commodity pricing plan, and effective principles to drive efficiency and cost.
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with suppliers with high flexibility.
• Accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale up manufacturing operations.
• Manage the request for and associated verification of supplier-related CAPEX throughout NPI.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete the BOM risk assessment and develop a plan per part analysis.
• Follow through completion of component qualifications by relevant stakeholders, ahead of production need dates.
• Reduce complexity of supply chain through commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalization.
• Lead all cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost, maximizing the total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues, e.g., tariffs/import export cost, and cost inflation.

Requirements:

• Background in design & development of mechanical and/or electronics devices.
• Experience in advanced sourcing activities, including positions working as a commodity/sourcing manager.
• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree.
• Eligible to obtain an Australian NV1 clearance.
