Description
The Asset Protection Supervisor coordinates and supervises employee and contractor activities related to damage prevention and right-of-way maintenance for Atlanta Gas Light and Florida City Gas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor Asset Protection responsibilities, including right-of-way patrols, quality audits, and locator quality audits
- Develop and improve contracts and statements of work for contractors
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries on damage prevention topics
- Facilitate meetings and negotiate field conflicts
- Provide accurate data for incident reviews and damage prevention cases
- Coordinate construction and excavation activities on pipeline rights-of-way
- Conduct performance and safety audits
- Perform initial investigations related to incidents
- Coordinate new technology testing and implementation
Supervision and Engagement:
- Supervise and provide oversight of processes, coaching, and training to Asset Protection department employees
- Improve and recommend techniques and processes for Asset Protection Specialists and Right-of-Way agents
- Monitor compliance and statistical reports
- Review quality issues and implement strategies to prevent damages
Driving Results:
- Drive damage prevention and right-of-way improvements
- Monitor safety initiatives and ensure company policies are adhered to
- Guide and coach team to achieve corporate goals and performance objectives
- Recommend process improvements
Business Acumen:
- Ensure compliance with statements of work, master services agreements, and contracts
- Track and monitor departmental budget and control overtime
- Monitor OQ compliance and training documentation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- 5+ years of experience in Gas Distribution and/or Transmission operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience locating underground natural gas facilities
- Experience related to right of way management and maintenance activity work
- Experience Supervising and managing performance in a utility environment
Working Conditions:
- A combination of physical and office work is required
- Walking and patrolling pipeline right of ways by foot up to 5 miles per day
- Climbing in and out of excavation sites to perform inspections
- Exposure to outdoor elements
