Description
We are seeking a Senior Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) Hardware Engineer to join our Phantom Works Vehicle Management System team in Berkeley, MO. You will work across engineering disciplines to design elements of the VMS hardware, collaborating with requirement, software, and lab teams to implement and test your designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements decomposition and traceability from customer needs to testable design
- Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements
- Design hardware, software, and interface specifications
- Analyze, translate, and implement customer requirements into system architecture, hardware design, and interface specifications
- Define test and validation approaches to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Troubleshoot integration and sustainment anomalies across hardware/software life cycles
- Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integrity and compliance with requirements
- Coordinate suppliers, test labs, and cross-discipline engineering to deliver on schedule and cost
- Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements and technical standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- 9+ years of work-related experience with a bachelor's or 7+ years with a master's or 4+ years with a PhD
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Salary Range: $136,850 - $185,150
