As a Mechanical Engineer, Anduril Expeditionary Systems, you will take real technical ownership across the full product lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning hardware end-to-end, from concept generation to real-world use in the hands of warfighters
- Designing novel hardware for demanding mission sets, starting from a blank sheet
- Understanding the mission and working directly with customers to translate real battlefield challenges into hardware that solves them
- Applying engineering first principles, analysis, and rigorous testing to ensure designs survive the harshest battlefield conditions
- Building prototypes and first articles yourself, iterating quickly from idea to physical hardware
- Delivering designs at scale and partnering with the manufacturing team to build and ship them at volume
- Serving as a key part of a tight-knit product team, moving fast in an environment of rapid iteration and technical excellence
- Traveling to field exercises and working directly alongside warfighters, providing hands-on support and gathering invaluable feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of professional mechanical engineering experience
- Demonstrated ability to design, prototype, and ship hardware
- Proven track record of design ownership in a team setting
- High competence with engineering first principles
- Strong CAD skills and ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings
- Hands-on fabrication skills
- BS, M.Eng, MS, or PhD in an engineering field
- U.S. Person status
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs
- Hands-on experience with machining, sheet metal, composites, and 3D printing
- Knowledge of static, dynamic, or thermal analysis methods and their application in ANSYS
- Active Top Secret security clearance

Salary range: $129,000-$171,000 USD
