Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on developing software consistent with Cisco's Design Thinking Principles. You will partner with other teams to create solutions for customers, using secure coding practices and ensuring user privacy.
Your Impact:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for Cisco ACI features such as fabric deployment, management, monitoring, and automation.
- Validate Cisco ACI fabric infrastructure, including leaf/spine topology, APIC controllers, and fabric initialization processes.
- Test integration with virtualization platforms (VMware vCenter, OpenShift, Kubernetes) and container networking interfaces.
- Ensure quality of automation workflows and APIs (RESTful API, CobraSDK) used for fabric programmability.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to improve test automation frameworks and infrastructure as code practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors + 7 years OR Masters + 4 years OR PhD + 1 year of related experience.
- Solid conceptual and practical knowledge in Networking products.
- Experience with data center networking protocols and technologies (VXLAN, MP-BGP EVPN, L2/L3 connectivity).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, REST APIs).
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network and software issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AI-powered infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code concepts applied to Datacenter products.
