Description
As an LGV 2 Driver with Biffa Waste Services, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of local communities. You will be part of a single-person crew, driving various LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
This role offers a competitive pay rate of £19.46 per hour, plus back shift and monthly allowances. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, using your initiative to carry out daily tasks while making a positive impact on the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drive LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Safely manoeuvre and operate large rigid vehicles
- Maintain good communication and customer service skills
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card
- Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety
- Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements
