Description
We are seeking a Security & Cleaning Team Leader to support and lead a team of Security/Cleaners at BH2 Leisure Centre in Bournemouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of customers, buildings, and personnel.
The role involves operationally supporting the delivery of the agreed service level, managing a shift team, monitoring and controlling daily duties, and maintaining high standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Security Industry and Cleaning, excellent organisational skills, and hold a SIA Security Licence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a shift team and distributing daily rotas and briefings
- Monitoring and controlling daily duties and actions to ensure compliance
- Assisting with induction and training needs
- Supporting the delivery of SOPs and maintaining documentation
- Auditing site practices and processes
- Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety legislation
- Promoting a secure and safe working environment
- Managing incident reports and investigations
- Liaising with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
- Experience of working within the Security Industry and Cleaning
- Excellent organisational skills
- SIA Security Licence – Security Guard / Door Supervisor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- People Managing experience
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to work effectively within a team
- Report writing/Presentation skills
- Proactive approach to learning and identifying own training needs
Desirable skills:
- First Aid trained
- CCTV license
- Experience of delivering training
- Ability to develop individual effectiveness through leadership and communication
