FBS - Corporate Counsel

FBS – Farmer Business Services is part of Farmers Insurance operations, partnering with Capgemini as the Employer of Record. The role involves providing legal counsel on Indian corporate and labor matters, supporting interactions with regulators, and collaborating with global legal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on Indian corporate, labor, and employment matters, including employee relations issues and regulatory investigations.
• Support interactions with Indian regulators and authorities, including labor authorities and other relevant agencies.
• Collaborate with U.S.-based and global legal teams on cross-border matters, including policy alignment, risk mitigation, and investigations.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks in India and contribute to training and education for business and HR partners on legal topics relevant to operations in India.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney in employment, labor, corporate, or related legal fields.
• Full English fluency.
• Experience serving as in-house counsel or advising multinational corporate clients.
• Experience conducting and managing complex workplace investigations.
• Demonstrated experience advising senior business leaders and Human Resources professionals on employment law and Employee Relations matters.
• Experience supporting multiple jurisdictions and legal entities within a multinational organization and strong knowledge of Indian employment and corporate law.
• Experience navigating issues involving Indian labor law as part of a broader legal portfolio and with a business perspective.
• Proven ability to navigate highly matrixed environments and manage competing business priorities.
• Experience working within financial services, banking, retail, insurance, shared services, or other highly regulated industries.
• Excellent communication skills and C-suite presentation experience.
• Master's degree.
