The GT Production Technician is responsible for production of quality technical materials and intermediates in a safe and efficient manner. Uses knowledge of products, raw materials, and operating procedures to control equipment that processes substances into specified products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safe operation of chemical processing equipment
  • Reading and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Staging raw and finished materials
  • Taking required samples during production process
  • Decontaminating equipment and piping for maintenance or disposal
  • Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment Matrix
  • Maintaining inventories of disposable, production, and safety-related materials
  • Recognizing material compatibilities
  • Conducting charging and filling operations
  • Maintaining plant Hazard Communication labeling program
  • Performing general housekeeping duties throughout the plant area
  • Assisting in product changeover activities

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED with at least that level in reading comprehension, writing, and math
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use information technology systems and applications
  • Willingness to climb with the ability to perform elevated work utilizing portable ladders and fall protection equipment
  • Position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Able to work rotating shift, including required overtime hours and weekends to support the business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or Agriculture Operations experience, Military, or similar experience
  • Experience operating a fork truck
  • Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Personal focus on safety, teamwork, and adaptability
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills and the ability to listen
  • Able to work without direct supervision in a diverse team environment
