Description

As a Product Quality Engineer at Anduril, you will work closely with various teams to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high-quality aerospace structures.

The role involves collaborating with the design and manufacturing teams to meet quality requirements and evaluate manufacturing performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving product development and production for aerospace programs using processes such as drawing and work instruction reviews, quality planning, inspection, and verification
  • Resolving production ambiguities associated with product maturity and process stability
  • Championing the transition from new product introduction to sustainable and predictable rate manufacturing
  • Coordinating quality requirements with the Supply Chain team and developing processes for incoming part and material acceptance
  • Leading Root Cause and Corrective Action activities and reviewing the effectiveness of actions
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Writing and implementing quality planning documentation
  • Leveraging resources to deliver quality throughout the product development cycle
  • Designing and developing elements of the Anduril QMS to meet aerospace customers' quality expectations
  • Understanding qualification of internal and external manufacturing processes
  • Leading the transition from engineering qualification to manufacturing variance testing
  • Coordinating with supplier quality engineers and creating training documentation for manufacturing and quality personnel

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality on aerospace vehicles or systems
  • Knowledge of design review and quality management of aerospace parts
  • Experience with CAD systems such as NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data mining and statistical analysis tools
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. security clearance

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of composite and metallic airframe manufacturing processes
  • Experience with developing quality systems in complex manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies such as FMEA and APQP
  • Experience with government contracts and MIL standard requirements
  • Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems
