Description
We are seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join our MENA desk at Dow Jones. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will conduct desk-based open source research, produce political, security and geopolitical risk assessments, and cultivate human sources in relevant markets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk-based open source research
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings to clients and other audiences
- Provide responsive customer service and develop positive working relationships with clients and prospects
- Develop and maintain resources, including human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open source networks
- May have responsibility for mentoring and/or managing other analysts or researchers
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in security analysis, political risk research or crisis risk management
- Sound analytical knowledge about political and security developments in the MENA region
- Experience in providing responsive customer service and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and prospects
- Honest and curious, able to make analytical judgements based on evidence and reason
- Knowledge of regional languages is desirable
