Description
As part of Ford's Manufacturing team, you will help build state-of-the-art smart vehicles. You will apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
Responsibilities:
- Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Final Transmission Assembly
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
- Develop action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions
- Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline
- Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions
- Analyze vehicle inventory root causes and engage in mapping and corrective actions
- Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes
- Lead role in resolving assembly-related concerns and variability reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards
- Back up ISO 14001 compliance and support internal ISO auditing and compliance
- Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements
- Develop Back-up Processes to ensure production throughput sustainment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent
