Machining Technician - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a skilled Machining Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Morristown, TN. As a Machining Technician, you will operate machines and production equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment by stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately
• Report incidents, including work-related injuries, illnesses, and hazards
• Adhere to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations
• Use personal protective equipment consistently
• Promote team safety and environmental awareness
• Follow standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures
• Participate in training and development, and engage in continuous improvement efforts

Requirements:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience
• Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience
• Experience operating CNC machines (1 to 3 years)
• Ability to read blueprints, familiarity with measuring instruments, basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail
• Effective communication, courage, results-driven, accountability, health and safety fundamentals, manufacturing knowledge, and valuing differences

Shift Premium: $1.00/hr

Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site
