Description
We are seeking a motivated senior People leader to shape the people and workforce strategy of WWT, a leading conservation charity.
The successful candidate will lead WWT's human resources, training and development, early careers and volunteering functions, reporting to the Director of Finance & Support Services as a member of the Charity's senior leadership group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership Team
- Ensuring high-quality delivery of HR and volunteering services to the Charity's 450 employees, 200 casual workers and 1,000 volunteers
- Advising on and supporting senior management with strategic organisational change
- Developing and continually improving HR operations and interventions
Requirements:
- Degree or professional qualification in a relevant discipline
- Experience of leading a People/HR team at scale in a complex organisation
- Ability to advise on and support senior management with strategic organisational change
- Drive to develop and continually improve HR operations and interventions
- Highly-developed communication, influencing and organisational skills
- Excellent understanding of UK employment law, regulation and HR best practice
The role is based at WWT HQ in Slimbridge, with hybrid working arrangements allowing for 2 days per week attendance, and occasional travel to WWT's centres across the UK and NI.
The advertised salary is £61,400 per annum, and the role is permanent, full-time, although applicants for part-time or compressed hours are encouraged to apply.
