2026 Actuarial Intern

We are seeking a 2026 Actuarial Intern to support the day-to-day activities of various teams within the Actuarial Department of AIA Hong Kong.

The internship is a 6-month opportunity to gain practical knowledge of the business area, the company, and the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actuarial Department - Product Development:
• Develop new products, review existing product performance, and analyze operational experience.
• Perform data analysis and generate product financials using spreadsheets and Prophet models.
• Check IT systems related to product administration.
• Prepare data and calculations for experience and claim monitoring.

• Actuarial Department - Reporting:
• Provide shareholder reporting, regulatory reporting, business projections, and forecasts.
• Perform calculations and data extraction for financial reports.
• Verify calculations in financial models under different reporting bases.
• Analyze and explain results.

• Capital Management Department:
• Perform risk-based analysis to support business strategies.
• Calculate, extract, and check data for stress capital and economic capital reporting using Prophet models.

• Capital Planning & Optimisation:
• Perform stochastic analysis to support financial strategies.
• Conduct sensitivity runs on capital positions under economic basis using spreadsheets.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University students majoring in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Insurance, or Finance with a strong mathematics background.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Prophet, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), or other computer programming languages is an advantage.
