Forward Deployed Strategist

Cursor is seeking a Forward Deployed Strategist to lead strategic customer engagements from initial workshops to delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with executive sponsors to identify high-value use cases, define project scopes, and ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with executive sponsors to scope projects, defining concrete deliverables and ROI
• Lead technical discovery and architecture reviews to validate engagement feasibility
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) on technical builds, focusing on configuration layers, workflows, integrations, and platform tooling
• Drive technical enablement and adoption, providing hands-on training and coaching
• Monitor technical feasibility, adjusting scopes as needed, and identify expansion opportunities
• Escalate product gaps, integration issues, and customer pain points to inform roadmap decisions
• Develop reusable playbooks to enhance FDE capabilities

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Deployment Strategy, technical consulting, or Engagement Management, particularly with AI-production workflows
• Strong understanding of agentic coding and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Hands-on experience with Cursor workflows, integrations, and platform configuration
• Ability to ship AI-native workflows beyond the prototype stage
• Executive presence to engage with C-suite stakeholders and technical credibility to collaborate with engineering leads
• Domain expertise in industries such as financial services, insurance, telecom, high-tech, healthcare, or semiconductors is a plus
