Description

We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the technical development of scalable service architectures for digital energy and flexibility services. You will work closely with a team of product owners, developers, and operations specialists to design and implement target and reference architectures, data flows, interfaces, and services. Additionally, you will focus on the systematic use of AI in delivery and operations, including building a knowledge base and defining standards for architecture, coding, and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop target and reference architectures for scalable platforms in energy and flexibility services
  • Design scalable data flows, interfaces, and services for asset connection, forecasting, optimization, control, monitoring, and operation
  • Define architectures for technical integration and controllability of decentralized energy assets
  • Develop microservices architectures and orchestration for end-to-end real-time processes
  • Create interfaces to energy partners, technical service providers, and external roles
  • Further develop cloud, security, DevOps, and observability architectures
  • Conduct architecture and code reviews
  • Ensure governance, role concepts, data protection, security, auditability, and operability

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience as a solution architect, software architect, or technical lead
  • Experience with cloud and microservice architectures, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews
  • Strong understanding of API integration, data flows, eventing, interface architecture, and scalable systems
  • Experience with AI-supported software development and productive use of AI in software delivery processes
  • Understanding of agents, tool access, knowledge bases, and comparable integration concepts
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into technical architecture
  • Good interface understanding between business, product, development, operation, and management
  • Structured, pragmatic working style; strong communication across business and tech
  • Team ability and very good communication and presentation skills
  • Openness and motivation for active idea development and entrepreneurial co-creation
  • Very good German and English language skills; unrestricted travel readiness and flexibility within Germany

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the energy market, flexibility marketing, smart charging, electromobility, or technical aggregation
  • Knowledge of V1G, V2G, charging infrastructure, OCPP, HEMS, ImSYS, OEM vehicle APIs, OpenADR
  • Experience with forecasting, optimization, dispatch, technical control, or monitoring of distributed assets
  • Knowledge of data protection, ISMS, security, role and rights models
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka/Eventing, monitoring/observability
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, MCP, agent frameworks, or comparable AI platforms
