Description
Temporal is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Open Source Server team. This team builds and maintains the core Temporal server, which has a broad scope including Matching, Applications, Foundations, task processing, quotas and throttling, visibility, developer-facing primitives, and workflow experience improvements.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and ship features for the Temporal server. You will solve distributed systems challenges across various areas, make thoughtful engineering tradeoffs, partner with engineers and product managers, improve the reliability and operability of the server, participate in design discussions and code reviews, contribute to improving the developer experience, and mentor junior engineers.
To be successful in this role, you should have 5+ years of experience building and operating production distributed systems, strong fundamentals in distributed systems, concurrency, fault tolerance, scheduling, and performance. You should also have experience writing concurrent code in languages like Go or Java, building high-scale backend services, and designing and building backend APIs or platform services.
The estimated pay range for this role is $176,000 - $237,600, depending on experience and location. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
