## Description

We are seeking a full-time Urdu and Punjabi Interpreter and Translator to join our team at Millennium Translations Ltd in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing interpretation and translation services in various settings, including mental health, healthcare, and legal sectors.

**Responsibilities:**

- Interpret verbal communications in real-time into another language, with careful attention to context, meaning, tone, and technical wording.

- Translate documents, including scientific, legal, and literary texts, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed accurately.

- Attend booked assignments and travel to and from assignments.

- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to high standards of professional behavior.

- Work on projects such as community engagement and outreach.

**Requirements:**

- Fluency in English and Urdu/Punjabi.

- Full UK driver's license and access to a vehicle.

- Current, valid Enhanced CRB clearance.

- Minimum of one year's professional experience as an interpreter.

- Minimum of 200 hours previous experience working as an interpreter, ideally within the public sector.

- Qualifications in interpreting, translation, or linguistics (MA, BA, DPSI, Community Interpreting Certificate).
