## Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Passenger Services team in the role of Driver Attendant at London Borough of Redbridge. You will be responsible for driving a range of vehicles, undertaking daily vehicle routine maintenance and safety checks, and ensuring the care and safety of passengers.

Responsibilities:

- Drive a range of vehicles for which you hold a license and operate ancillary equipment.

- Undertake daily vehicle routine maintenance and safety checks.

- Maintain a basic knowledge of first aid and provide initial assistance to passengers.

- Ensure timesheets and record sheets are completed accurately and returned within specified timeframes.

- Ensure individual responsibility for clients during transport.

- Ensure care and safety of passengers, especially those with disabilities.

- Comply with Working Time Directive and applicable drivers’ hours legislation.

- Maintain vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness.

- Work collaboratively with Passenger Assistants to provide safe and punctual service.

- Provide excellent customer service and safeguard vulnerable passengers.

- Collect, transport, and deliver post, parcels, furniture, luggage, equipment, and supplies across council locations.

Requirements:

- Hold a full category D1/D driving license valid for the UK.
