## Description

Join a high-performing enterprise engineering team at GDIT as an Enterprise Desktop Engineer, designing, automating, troubleshooting, and improving desktop platforms across a large-scale enterprise environment. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, creativity, and technical expertise.

**Responsibilities:**

- Engineer enterprise desktop platforms by designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing Windows and thin-client images.

- Own application deployment and lifecycle engineering, from packaging and configuration through enterprise deployment, upgrades, and removal.

- Automate manual tasks using PowerShell and other scripting technologies.

- Solve complex technical problems by analyzing operating systems, applications, configurations, logs, authentication, networking, and system dependencies.

- Design and implement new capabilities to improve endpoint reliability, performance, security, and user experience.

- Partner across engineering disciplines to move technology from concept through implementation and into production.

- Continuously improve the environment, challenging inefficient processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

**Requirements:**

- 8+ years of related experience.

- Experience engineering, administering, or supporting enterprise Windows desktop environments.

- Experience building, maintaining, or deploying Windows desktop images.

- Experience with application installation, packaging, configuration, deployment, or lifecycle management.

- Experience with PowerShell or another scripting/programming language.

- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.

- TS/SCI w/Poly security clearance.

- US citizenship required.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
