## Description

We're looking for a Data Analyst Intern to work with our data team on financial reports and reconciliations.

You'll work on analysing and checking numbers, reconciling figures against independent sources, investigating discrepancies, and automating manual checks.

Responsibilities:

- Check financial numbers for accuracy

- Reconcile financial figures against independent sources and explain differences

- Investigate reports that appear incorrect and determine if they are actually wrong

- Trace numbers back to their source

- Automate manual checks using SQL and Python

- Build and maintain dashboards for financial performance monitoring

- Document datasets and their limitations

Requirements:

- Currently studying or recently graduated in a numerate field (data, statistics, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or similar)

- SQL experience with joins and aggregations

- Some Python experience for analysis or automation

- Careful with numbers and detail-oriented

- Comfortable saying 'I don't know'

- Clear written communication skills

Nice to Have:

- Coursework or personal projects involving financial, accounting, or transaction data

- Experience with dashboards (Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, etc.)

- Exposure to large-scale spreadsheets

- Interest in cryptocurrency or trading
