## Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer to create and manage design documentation for powertrain components and assemblies. The successful candidate will develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and ensure project manufacturability and quality.

**Responsibilities:**

- Create 3D models for components and assemblies in accordance with design guidelines and CAD standards

- Develop 2D CAD drawings for production, adhering to current standards and latest manufacturing technologies

- Continuously verify data quality and consistency, exchanging information with internal departments and external partners

- Conduct regular design checks to ensure compliance with dimensions, assembly processes, and manufacturing feasibility

- Manage and update component documentation within the AVL-PDM system and AVL Powertrain database

- Support Lead Engineers and Project Managers during project execution

- Provide technical support to Resident Engineers

- Collaborate on creating documentation for training, knowledge management, and patents

- Assist with internal procurement of AVL components through information exchange with clients and suppliers

- Perform engineering calculations and simplified simulations for component and assembly optimisation

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline, preferably Automotive Engineering or related field

- Practical experience in designing powertrain and/or vehicle components

- Proficiency in one or more 3D CAD systems, preferably Catia and SolidWorks

- Experience in defining and applying geometric, dimensional, orientation, and position tolerances

- Knowledge of applicable standards and processes in the automotive sector

- Experience in designing and industrialising sheet metal components and welded assemblies, including bending, stamping, laser cutting, and GD&T application

- Excellent English language skills in professional contexts

- Experience working in intercultural environments and strong communication skills

- Availability for business trips

**What We Offer:**

- Indicative starting salary: €32,000 gross per annum
