## Description

AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer II - Design to join our team. As a Project Engineer II - Design, you will provide technical, program, and account management expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.

**Responsibilities:**

- Plan and formulate workflow to meet specified deadlines with minimal supervision

- Lead specific phases of projects, including technical studies, specification writing, and establishing technical plans

- Coordinate project meetings, design reviews, and sign-off reviews

- Resolve engineering and design conflicts

- Perform 3D/2D CAD design of components and assemblies

- Own system engineering tasks, including architecture, resolving design constraints, and establishing interfaces

- Lead and author single team proposals

- Provide engineering leadership to project teams

**Qualifications/Skills:**

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or applicable degree

- Master's degree preferred

- 3-5+ years of experience in area of expertise

- Excellent knowledge of engine systems design or manufacturing process

- Fluent in at least one major 3D CAD software; Siemens NX preferred

- Fluent in PDM software; Teamcenter preferred

- Experience with system engineering process, including P-diagrams, DFMEA's, and DVP&R

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

**Physical Requirements:**

- Visual acuity to read and maintain body equilibrium

- Ability to climb stairs and lift objects up to 45 pounds

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

**Mental Requirements:**

- Ability to understand complex issues and negotiate different viewpoints

- Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules

- Ability to make decisions with significant impact

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
