## Description

Help us make a difference as a Shift Electrical Technician at our West Sussex MBT/AD facility.

£49,183.68 per annum raising to £52,612.56 after 3 months successful probation.

Shift Pattern is 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off) 0630 - 1830 & 1830 - 0630)

As a Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will effectively drive engineering activities at Biffa MBT facility to deliver all operational aspects of the facility.

Your core responsibilities include:

- Working reactively, dealing with machinery problems and breakdowns, as well as working through planned preventative maintenance and project work.

- The electrical work covers everything from sensors, relays, ac/dc motors, contactors, control panels and PLC’s.

- Fault finding on PLC’s, preferably Siemens S7, but anything else is considered.

- Ensuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported immediately.

- Maintaining housekeeping to high standards.

- Motor electrical and mechanical fault finding, familiarity with MCC layout of panels.

- Controls and Instrumentation (temperatures, pressure transducers, flow meters etc).

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

- Electrical fault diagnoses.

PLC hardware knowledge

Requirements:

- HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering

- BS7671 18th edition (advantageous)

- Experience of working in a similar environment, so either manufacturing or industrial or automated, supporting maintenance work.

- Must be electrical qualified and competent.
