## Description

KCEN KAGS-TV, the NBC TEGNA affiliate in Temple, is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ) to join their team.

As a journalist, you will create engaging stories, share them across multiple platforms, and showcase exceptional photography and editing skills.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct live shots in breaking news situations

- Develop story ideas and find credible sources

- Identify, write, and produce stories within a specific framework

- Research facts and maintain sources

- Shoot, write, produce, and edit on-air and online content

- Utilize creative production techniques and social media tools

- Attend editorial meetings and offer story ideas daily

Requirements:

- 1-3 years of reporting experience preferred

- Solid news judgment, strong communication skills, and creativity

- Proficiency in ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics preferred

- Ability to work under deadlines and handle live breaking news situations

- Knowledge of Temple is a plus
