## Description

Bridgeway is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work directly with product and engineering to prototype, build, and ship experiences that make Bridgeway feel like a partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of design and code, with experience in AI-native workflows.

Responsibilities:

- Turn a single problem into several distinct, high-fidelity prototypes

- Build production-quality UI components and interactions in code

- Ground decisions in first-principles thinking about users

- Champion simplicity and cut, collapse, and clarify the product

- Bridge design and engineering, translating concepts into real code

- Evolve Bridgeway's design system

Requirements:

- Comfortable in Figma and a code editor, with strong front-end skills in React, TypeScript, CSS, and animation

- Strong sense of build and understanding of craft, hierarchy, restraint

- Naturally explore multiple directions before converging

- Prototype in hours, not days, using AI tools

- Bias toward simplicity and love designing for real people

- Think in systems and build reusable components

- Genuinely excited about AI agents and new interaction paradigms

The role offers a salary range of $146,300 - $274,300 annually, depending on location and experience.
