## Job Description

As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Global Resource Management team at Cloudflare, you'll tackle complex system architecture problems. Your mission will be to create organised, efficient, and well-managed applications that enable features across Cloudflare's resources.

### Responsibilities

- Solve Deep, Foundational Problems: Dive into complex, cross-cutting engineering challenges that benefit all Cloudflare products by creating organized, efficient, and well-managed applications.

- Architect for Organization and Clarity: Design and make core architectural decisions focused on reducing fanout and simplifying system dependencies.

- Build Scalable Systems: Propose architectures, write detailed specifications, and implement high-quality, maintainable code to build scalable and highly available systems.

- Drive Code Quality: Participate in thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback on technical specifications and designs, and ensure all implementations adhere to best practices for reliability and security.

### Requirements

- Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, building and operating mission-critical, high-scale distributed systems.

- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a similar modern systems language.

- Systems Design: Proven experience in designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available services at cloud-scale.

- Architectural Thinking: Understanding of concepts related to organization, dependency management, and resource orchestration in a large, multi-tenant environment.

- Collaboration: Experience participating in a code review process and contributing thoughtful feedback to design specifications.

### Bonus Skills

- Familiarity with Cloudflare's core technologies, such as edge computing or global networking.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and related technologies.
