## Description

We are seeking an experienced API & Integration Test Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract until March 2027. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions supporting healthcare and enterprise applications.

The Civil Digital Modernisation business delivers IT services to Australian Federal and State Government departments and agencies to accelerate digital modernisation and ensure secure, resilient, and adaptive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain automated API and integration test suites

- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks supporting REST, SOAP, and event-driven integration patterns

- Build and support automated test execution within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

- Collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, and solution architects to ensure testability is embedded within solution design and delivery

- Analyse test failures, perform root-cause investigations, produce quality metrics and test evidence, and contribute to continual improvement of testing practices and automation standards

About You:

- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated API and integration testing frameworks

- Strong understanding of REST, HTTP/S, JSON, XML, API contract testing principles, and experience validating APIs

- Experience implementing automated testing within Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD environments

- Experience testing authentication and authorisation frameworks, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and token-based security models

- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating effectively with engineering, architecture, and platform teams
