## Description

We are seeking a Machine Shop Equipment Service Technician to join our team at the Marysville Auto Plant. As a Machine Shop Equipment Service Technician, you will provide advanced machining, CNC programming, fabrication, welding, and equipment support services to maintain and improve production equipment and fixtures.

**Job Purpose**

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment using CAD/CAM software; developing machining processes; determining appropriate fits, finishes, and equipment functionality; and designing fixtures to support production and New Model activities.

**Key Accountabilities**

- Complete scheduled work by machining parts to specification across a variety of materials while maximizing safety, quality, and delivery.

- Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment.

- Perform inspection of own parts to ensure accurate completion to part specifications.

- Work from verbal instructions, rough sketches, prints, and 3D models.

- Collaborate with team members in a TEAM environment.

- Work weekends and holidays to support maintenance and production activities.

- Perform emergency machining and maintenance support for equipment failures affecting safety, quality, and delivery.

- Conceive ideas and produce parts to solve production problems.

- Set up and operate manual machining equipment.

- Perform maintenance and fabrication-type welding (TIG, MIG, and Stick welding).

- Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Tech School or 2 to 4 years of Machining and/or Tool & Die experience is preferred.

- Position supports shutdowns and weekend overtime as needed.

- May need to adjust shifts or hours as needed for support.

- Requires machining support.

**Working Conditions**

- Must be willing to work daily overtime / weekends / and holidays as needed.

- Must be willing to work 2nd shift for an extended period / indefinitely.

- Work is performed inside of a large auto manufacturing plant.

- Must be able to stand on concrete floors for 8 to 10 hrs per day.

- Estimated Amount of Overtime (Weekly) 8HRS plus

- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs repetitively.
