## Description

The Senior Professional – Owner’s Representative, Buildings Engineering provides day-to-day technical, project coordination, and delivery support for owner’s representative assignments within WSP USA Buildings Inc’s Property & Buildings practice.

Working under the guidance of senior team members, this role helps advance planning, design review, procurement support, construction-phase coordination, closeout, and client reporting activities across complex building and infrastructure projects.

This role is onsite in New York, New York.

The position is suited for a professional with well-developed practical knowledge of project delivery processes and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal guidance.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Lead defined project support tasks for assigned owner’s representative projects by coordinating project information, maintaining action trackers, monitoring deliverables, and helping keep project activities organized and on schedule.

- Assist with planning studies, existing conditions reviews, technical assessments, options analyses, and development of owner decision-support materials.

- Review project documents, drawings, reports, and submittal-related information for consistency, completeness, and alignment with owner requirements and project objectives.

- Coordinate input from internal technical teams and external project participants to support design reviews, procurement activities, construction-phase services, and closeout tasks.

- Prepare meeting notes, status summaries, logs, presentations, and written client support materials with clear documentation of key issues, decisions, and follow-up actions.

- Track project scope, schedule milestones, open issues, and risk items, and elevate concerns to project leadership when attention or resolution is needed.

- Participate in meetings, workshops, field reviews, and site visits to gather information, document observations, and support coordination among stakeholders.

- Support procurement and contracting activities through document assembly, bid process coordination, evaluation support, and administrative follow-through.

- Contribute to construction-phase support by tracking questions, changes, submittals, and outstanding issues affecting owner priorities, schedule, budget, or quality.

- Assist with commissioning coordination, punch list tracking, turnover documentation, and operational readiness activities during project closeout.

- Apply established tools, templates, and best practices while exercising sound judgment on moderately complex assignments, proactively identifying issues, and seeking guidance on unusual or high-risk matters.

- Act as a dependable resource to peers and project teams by sharing information, following through on commitments, and contributing to consistent, high-quality delivery.

- Contribute to proposal preparation, marketing materials, or pursuit support activities related to owner’s representative services, as needed.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.

- Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience in building engineering, project delivery, construction administration, owner’s representative services, technical coordination, or related capital project support roles.

- Working knowledge of building systems, project delivery phases, consultant coordination, procurement processes, and construction-phase documentation.

- Ability to work independently on defined assignments, manage multiple tasks, and exercise judgment based on analysis of project information from several sources.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare organized documentation and clearly communicate status, issues, and next steps.

- Proficiency with common project management, document control, and collaboration tools used to support multidisciplinary project delivery.

- Progress toward professional licensure or industry credentials such as EIT, PE, RA, PMP, CCM, or similar is desirable.

**Measures of Success**

- Reliable execution of assigned project support responsibilities with strong attention to quality, timeliness, and organization

- Clear, accurate, and actionable documentation that supports client decision-making and project team coordination

- Effective coordination of information across internal and external stakeholders

- Timely identification and communication of project issues, risks, and follow-up needs

- Demonstrated growth in technical capability, judgment, and ability to take on broader responsibility over time
