## Job Summary

As a Digital Customer Engineer at Cloudflare, you will be a trusted technical advisor and a core contributor to Cloudflare's technical go-to-market strategy. You will support Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Digital Native Business (DNB) customers across the complete customer lifecycle.

## Responsibilities

- Technical Validation: Partner closely with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, capture business requirements, and map customer infrastructure to fit-for-purpose Cloudflare architectures and solutions.

- Customer Adoption & Value Realization: Guide customers through onboarding and adoption by developing structured success plans and architectural guidance tailored to their goals and environments.

- Commercial Accountability & Expansion: Contribute to shared team and territory targets tied to new business, customer adoption, retention, and account growth.

- Trusted Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the complete customer lifecycle, building strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders.

- AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Leverage AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and internal platforms to automate routine tasks.

- Education & Enablement: Partner with Enablement and other internal teams to design, build, and maintain reusable technical resources.

## Requirements

- Education: An undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience: Up to 1–5 years of professional experience in a customer-facing technical role.

- Architectural Mindset: Ability to understand, whiteboard, and clearly explain network, security, application, or developer-platform architectures.

- Consultative Skills: Ability to understand customer needs, ask effective discovery questions, and translate technical capabilities into relevant customer and business outcomes.

- Communication: Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

- Technical Breadth: Knowledge or experience in at least three of the following areas: Internet Fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI Proficiency, Coding and Scripting, Developer Platform Fluency.

- Languages: Native-like fluency, both written & spoken, in English AND (Swedish OR Russian).

## Nice to Have

- Experience creating reusable technical assets.

- Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Exposure to modern application architectures.

- Knowledge of common application-security risks and mitigation strategies.

- Familiarity with LLM orchestration.

- Experience working with SMB or Digital Native Business customers.

## What We Offer

- Estimated annual salary is between €43,000 - €67,000 for Portugal-based hires.

- This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plan.

- This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
