## Description

We are seeking an ambitious, experienced, driven, and solution-oriented individual to join our custom development and professional services team. As a Backend SE I, you will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver solutions to our clients.

**About you**

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

- 1-3 years of medium to large-scale server-side software development experience

- Good knowledge of CS fundamentals: data structures, time complexity of algorithms, databases

- Good knowledge of a backend programming language like Java, Python, Node, or Clojure

- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor) for code generation, fast context lookup, and refactoring

- Knowledge of POSIX-compliant Operating Systems (development on Mac OS X, deployment on GNU/Linux)

- Experience in writing Unit, Functional & Regression tests

- Experience in working with a distributed version control tool (Git)

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Strong work ethics, team player with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration

**Nice to Have**

- Knowledge of functional programming (Clojure)

- Experience with Yugabytedb, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or PostgreSQL at scale

- Experience with benchmarking systems for performance, failure detection

**About the role**

- Develop product features delivered to 820M monthly active users

- Take ownership of product features and ensure their quality

- Write clean code with proper test coverage

- Review others' code and ensure it meets company standards

- Design and develop features that can scale to 100K+ RPS
