## Description

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will lead a team of talented engineers and treat agentic engineering as the way your team works, not a side project. Your goal will be to build the shared context agents need to do good work, rethink how your team delivers, and make sure engineers spend their time on what needs human judgement.

Responsibilities:

- Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organisational objectives.

- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management, and task prioritisation to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.

- Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimise team productivity.

- Collaborate with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Should Have:

- Proven experience leading and growing software engineering teams in a complex, ideally regulated, environment.

- A strong engineering background with hands-on experience of modern software delivery (CI/CD, automated testing, code review, cloud or platform engineering).

- Practical experience using AI coding agents and assistants in day-to-day engineering.

- A track record of improving delivery outcomes using DORA-style metrics.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, product partners, and engineers alike.
