## Description

The Parking Engagement Officer plays a key role within the Parking Engagement Team, focusing on providing customer service functions to residents and motorists, including appeals, permits, mobility services, complaints, and general correspondence.

The successful candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic about changing parking behaviors for the better and passionate about engaging with residents from a diverse background.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing services that are fair and accessible to all, challenging behaviors and practices that prevent this

- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Traffic Management Act 2004, London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2003, Highways Act 1980, Road Traffic Act 1991, and the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Direction

- Familiarity with London Tribunals, Traffic Enforcement Centre, and other third-parties associated with parking enforcement

- Understanding of Mobility Services provisions and processes, such as the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970 and the Disabled Persons (badges for Motor Vehicles) Regulations
