## Description

We are seeking an Assembly Support Co-op to join our team at Multimatic, a global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will assist in solving maintenance related problems with minimal interruption to production, perform maintenance and repair work, ensure assembly quality specifications are met, troubleshoot assembly processes, maintain equipment documentation, participate in preventative maintenance programs, and provide support to various departments.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in solving maintenance related problems with minimum interruption to production.

- Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds as assigned.

- Ensure all assembly quality specifications are met, by continuously monitoring the assembly processes on the equipment assigned.

- Troubleshoot all aspects of the assembly process as required.

- Assist in maintaining up to date documentation of all equipment.

- Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program, and down time reduction process.

- Participate in the development and implementation of the latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality.

- Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs.

- Maintain clean and safe working conditions.

- Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures.

- Provide support to the Welding Support Department, Facilities Department and Press/Toolroom as required.

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field.

- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools is an asset.

- Experience with mechanical systems is an asset.

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems.

- Basic knowledge of welding process (GMAW).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Good problem solving techniques.

The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be $17.60 - $25.48.
