## Description

Salesforce is looking for several Pre-Sales Solution Engineers to join our dedicated Data Foundation Pre-Sales Solution Engineering team, who are instrumental to Data Foundation's growth.

The Solution Engineers in this role help customers build a foundation, whether an engagement starts with MuleSoft, Informatica, or both.

**Responsibilities**

- Building trusted relationships with internal and external partners to qualify deals, identify business value, and provide technical guidance

- Conducting technical discovery meetings to document, analyse, and clarify business and technical requirements

- Delivering architecture reframe and developing white-boarding skills

- Responding to Request for Information/Proposal documents

- Working hands-on with prospects and customers to deliver standard, customised, and strategic solution demonstrations

- Supporting demos at marketing and field events

- Collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to continuously improve Data Foundation's products and marketing

- Sharing best practices, content, tips, and tricks within your primary area of responsibility

- Staying ahead of and immersing in ever-evolving technology landscape

- Staying current on relevant certifications

- Actively leveraging AI and staying ahead of agentic concepts, tooling, code development, solution architecture, and emerging trends in the AI space

- Partner with the Customer Success Management (CSM) team on nurture activities

- Providing ongoing, post-sales technical guidance to the client's technical team

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required (BS, Master's, or PhD)

- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience

- Demonstrated presentation and composure abilities in front of all levels of technical and non-technical audiences

- Hands-on Java development experience and ability to code and debug against Java APIs is preferred

- Experience with cloud technologies , iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, etc. , is preferred

- Working knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, database, and BI concepts

- Experience building and delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs independently

- Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and ERP technologies

- Strong demonstrated oral, written, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal communication skills

- Fluency with AI-based development and agentic concepts

- Ability to travel as needed (30-40%) and work flexible hours across multiple time zones

- Experience leading architectural discussions

- Proven experience establishing trust with clients, and the ability to influence key decision makers, influencers, coaches, and partners

- Storytelling ability and experience tailoring communication and engagement with prospects to specific use cases

**Nice to Have**

- Current Salesforce certifications

- Prior experience as a Solution Engineer/Sales Engineer

- Skilled in at least one MuleSoft or Informatica related software platform/technology

- Basic knowledge of top cloud ecosystems and data-related technologies

- Basic knowledge of cloud computing security aspects

- Currently leveraging AI tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini or other for personal productivity, code development, and analysis

- Certifications on at least one cloud ecosystem and one data-related cloud technology

- Experience in industries such as Financial Services, Consulting, Technology, Retail and Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Automotive
