## Description

As a Camera Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that imaging systems meet stringent quality standards.

In this role, you'll need to think creatively to solve complex testing problems and continuously improve automation methods, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics.

You should have a track record of working on fast-paced, highly technical teams and be able to communicate effectively to resolve production issues.

### Responsibilities

- Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure smooth production test flow.

- Provide hands-on troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex infrared systems issues.

- Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream.

- Generate test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use.

- Develop a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.

- Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.

- Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions.

- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to support customer returns and failure analysis.

- Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new products.

- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback and recommendations for product enhancements.

- Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness.

- Maintain and calibrate test equipment.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives.

### Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.

- Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.

- Experience with test automation and report generation.

- Strong root cause analysis skills.

- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- Experience working on projects that involve the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.

- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

### Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of infrared systems and their performance requirements.

- Experience with cryogenic testing equipment.

- Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, thermal chambers, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition, and measurement sensors.

- Experience with computer hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.
