## Description

As a Senior Director, Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies across billions of customer records. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver products customers love, leveraging technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, and Spark to reveal insights and build machine learning models.

**Responsibilities:**

- Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver customer-centric products

- Leverage a broad stack of technologies to analyze huge volumes of data

- Build machine learning models through all phases of development

- Translate complex insights into tangible business goals

**Requirements:**

- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related)

- At least 6 years of experience leveraging open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis

- At least 6 years of experience working with machine learning

- At least 6 years of experience utilizing relational databases

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- PhD in STEM field plus 7 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience working with AWS, managing people, and using Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis

**Salary Information:**

- Cambridge, MA: $314,800 - $359,300 per year

- McLean, VA: $314,800 - $359,300 per year

- New York, NY: $343,400 - $392,000 per year
