## Description

We are seeking a High School History Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year at Brooke High School in Boston, MA.

As a History teacher at Brooke High School, you will set the tone for student growth and learning. You will be the leader of your classroom and build strong relationships with students to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

- Teach multiple history classes and serve as an advisor, mentoring students, communicating with families, and sharing information about colleges and character education.

- Partner with other history teachers to refine and teach the entire curriculum in social studies and history.

- Participate in regular data meetings, engage in approximately 20 administrative observations, and participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year.

- May include teaching an AP class, which requires attending AP-specific training to support high-level academic instruction.

- May lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend.

Requirements:

- Earn a Bachelor's degree.

- Have at least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher.

- Be committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias.

- Be professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues.

- Be able to start in July 2027.
