## Description

As a Customer Delivery Porter, you will be the face of the John Lewis & Partners brand, operating out of the Brooklands Customer Delivery Hub. You will deliver, assemble, and install products directly in customers' homes, promoting the Partnership brand and maintaining a professional and courteous manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Acting as an ambassador for John Lewis, prioritizing customer service and delivering an outstanding experience

- Assisting the warehouse team with loading the lorry for the day's scheduled routes

- Managing deliveries and installations in route order using a Partner Device

- Demonstrating respect and courtesy for customers' homes and handling unexpected situations calmly

- Supporting the driver in safely installing, assembling, and disconnecting appliances, furniture, and TVs

- Efficiently demonstrating how newly installed products work and staying updated on new products and technologies

- Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety guidance and manual handling procedures

- Keeping delivery vehicles clean and reporting any accidents or incidents immediately

You will receive a contractual pay of £14.55 per hour, rising to £14.80 after 90 days. Additionally, you will be eligible for Evening and Night Premiums of £2.75 and £3.75 per hour, respectively.

The ideal candidate will have:

- The ability to manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting and handling large items

- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset

Previous experience in a customer-facing role or installation of white goods and furniture will be desirable.
