## Description

As a Senior Associate Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll join an elite Applied AI team within AI Foundations, operating at the intersection of deep research and massive real-world impact. Your mission will be to pioneer the next generation of personalized customer experiences across Capital One's web and mobile applications, leveraging high-scale ML models.

Key responsibilities include:

- Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric products

- Using a broad stack of technologies (Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark) to analyze large volumes of data

- Building machine learning models throughout the development lifecycle

- Translating complex work into tangible business goals

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, innovative, technical, and a data expert. They should be able to analyze and create solutions while prioritizing customer needs.

Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, etc.) with relevant experience.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in STEM, experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, machine learning, and SQL.

In terms of compensation, the salary ranges for this role are:

- McLean, VA: $135,600 - $154,800

- New York, NY: $148,000 - $168,900

- San Jose, CA: $148,000 - $168,900

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
