## Description

We are seeking a Construction Inspector to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facilities modernization program at our Leidos NISC IV site in Fort Worth, Texas.

As a Construction Inspector, you will provide technical construction management and oversight support for FAA facility modernization projects. Your responsibilities will include assisting the FAA Resident Engineer with construction inspection activities for various projects such as building new wings for environmental equipment and mechanical systems, roofing, parking lots, facility refurbishment, and security doors.

Key responsibilities:

- Review, document, and report on construction progress to the FAA Resident Engineer

- Monitor construction site safety and prepare notices of unsafe working conditions

- Perform engineering analysis with respect to code compliance, reliability, maintainability, safety, economy, project specifications, and recommend corrective action where appropriate

- Provide estimates of construction progress

- Escort contractor personnel in security-restricted areas

- Maintain records of receipt, inventory, and condition of Government Furnished Material (GFM)

- Prepare daily entries in the Construction Logbook

- Maintain records of all correspondence and reports pertaining to the project

This position requires approximately 80% travel.

We are looking for candidates with a strong technical background and experience in construction projects, risk mitigation, coordination planning, and documentation.

Required skills:

- Experience reviewing project drawings and specifications

- Ability to obtain and/or maintain Public Trust security clearance

- 6 years of prior relevant construction management experience or BS with 2+ years relevant experience

Preferred skills:

- Prior FAA experience

The pay range for this position is $73,450.00 - $132,775.00.
