Thomson Reuters is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their agent platform team. The team builds and ships using AI-native engineering practices, creating infrastructure, tooling, and observability for AI agents to run reliably at scale.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Architect and deliver complex AI agent systems end-to-end, including multi-component pipelines, tool integrations, and multi-step reasoning

- Build production AI agent systems on top of modern LLM APIs, agent SDKs, and orchestration/runtime infrastructure

- Contribute to agent observability and evaluation practices

- Adopt and extend progressive delivery practices

- Participate in cross-cutting design reviews and technical decisions

- Mentor other engineers on the team

- Collaborate with product and engineering peers to translate requirements into solid technical designs

**Required Qualifications:**

- Strong experience architecting and shipping production software systems

- Direct experience building with modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks/SDKs, or agent-to-tool integration protocols

- Experience owning complex technical projects end-to-end

- Strong backend engineering fundamentals

- Experience with production reliability and observability practices

- Ability to mentor other engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with developer-facing platforms, plugin/extension systems, or integration ecosystems

- Familiarity with progressive delivery practices

- Experience with managed agent runtime infrastructure

- Domain expertise in legal, regulated, professional-services, or other fiduciary domains
