## Description

This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the manufacture of engines at Ford's Lima Engine Plant. You will work to deliver lean, flexible and competitive manufacturing systems that power our winning portfolio of Ford Tough trucks and SUVs.

We are seeking a passionate, detailed, inquisitive engineer to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer working on the Crankshaft Machining Lines. This will be an onsite, full-time position. Majority of time will be spent in Lima, OH, but will also include work in SE Michigan and Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities:

- Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and related Round Parts manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in Ohio.

- Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint.

- Support equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants.

- Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.

- Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.

- Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging.

- Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput.

- Travel up to 50% in support of assigned projects in collaboration with OEMs, Tooling, Gauging, and related equipment suppliers.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering

- 1+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience

- Working knowledge of GD&T; reading engineering drawings

- Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team

- Strong organization skills with the ability to handle complex projects with multiple objectives

- Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma

- Proven record of customer focused work
