## Description

We are responsible for processing billions of dollars in payments each month to millions of vendors worldwide. Our team builds software applications that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions annually. As a Software Development Engineer on our Payments team, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced environment, leveraging the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC), to deliver features incrementally.

Ownership is central to this role, meaning you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a feature, from design to deployment, and remain accountable for its performance in production. You will own features and components of our payment systems end-to-end, working closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing solutions and making trade-offs

- Coding independently and collaborating with senior and principal engineers

- Working directly with product managers and business stakeholders

- Shipping features incrementally and reducing operational load

- Leaving the system better explained than you found it

- Raising the bar around you through code reviews and mentoring

## Requirements

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience

- 1+ year of software development engineer or related experience

- 1+ year of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using languages like C#, C++, Java, or Perl

- 1+ year of Object-Oriented Design experience

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

## Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

- Experience contributing to architecture and design

- Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices

- Experience with cloud computing or web services

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
